The Worlds Shortest Marketing Plan (v2.0)
I came across this great tool about 2 months ago, and can highly recommend it.
Ever thought where to start when putting your start-up dreams on paper? Or that great product you just know the market is waiting for. This simple template (in Word) prompts you for the exact information you need to make an informed go/no go decision, and to guide your start-up/product development activities. The current template, by Guy Kawasaki, builds on the earlier work of John Sviokla, Antony Paoni, and Kelly Odell.
I am currently using it for a project I am working on with a few colleagues, and it has been invaluable. In our situation, it is great to have 'common criteria' to base business decisions on. (for the record we always had that with the "4 P's" of marketing, but this keeps it simple).
